Residence 9 Overview

Replicating a 19th Century Flush Sash Timber Window, the Residence 9 window system consists of nine chambers for enhanced thermal performance. A standard window will have 3, sometimes 5. 100mm frame depth and just three main profiles. Several unique features include a flush sash to the outside of the window, a deep Georgian Bar, forged black or pewter hardware, monkey tail handles and peg stays. Though the styling is clearly a fusion of traditional design and sight-lines with modern day materials, there is also high security options for the hardware.

While the vast majority of the replacement market is made up of white profiles. Residence 9 will only be available in foiled heritage colours, eight initially and these will be available both inside and out. (Grained White, Clotted Cream, Cotswold Biscuit, Cotswold Green, English Oak, Irish Oak, Silvered Oak and a Eclectic Grey). The profiles and large range of ancillaries will also be available through colour bases too, adding to the upmarket proposition of this revolutionary new system.

The Residence 9 System is internally beaded and can be either welded or mechanically jointed, with a 100mm frame depth, the system has been designed with two glazing beads, one for double glazing and the other for triple glazing. With heavy duty friction stays and bespoke keeps. The system is designed to take the extra weight of a triple glazed unit with relative ease.

The nine chambers and 100mm frame depth also combine to deliver a 1.2 W/(m2K) ‘U’ value with a standard double glazed unit and a 0.8 ‘U’ value for a standard triple glazed unit, the latter without the need for foam inserts and other ancillary additions.

Residence 9 is manufactured from a modern composite material to give a virtually maintenance free finish. ”easy clean rebates” are also foiled in the same finish, which means that the high end, maintenance free appearance when the window is open. Residence 9 is truly a luxury, top end window system and can be also incorporated into Orangeries, and Garden Rooms.
